Rachael Johnson is a very talented pianist who has played in many venues for many different functions throughout the UK and overseas, she is available for booking and can provide anything from solo piano up to a sextet! She plays a variety of music (mainly Jazz) and can learn any particular requests for any occasion.

Rachael Johnson is a Jazz pianist from Kettering, Northants. She has studied Music since the age of 6, completing all the classical grades with ABRSM (performance in Guitar and Piano, as well as Musical Theory Grades), she also took part in big bands and group ensembles throughout secondary school. Rachael was then introduced and became passionate about Jazz, she pursued the subject of Jazz piano at Middlesex University in London and was taught by some of London's top Jazz pianists including Gareth Williams and Nikki Iles.
After a year of studying at Middlesex, Rachael decided to study and become an associate of the London College Of Music (A.L.C.M), this was to be her first diploma in which was entirely her own work.

Whilst building her repertoire and valuable contacts, Rachael was given (by her own merit) the next diploma exam free of charge by the Chief Examiner (who was her examiner from her previous diploma). She took this opportunity and received another diploma and degree making her a Licentiate (L.L.C.M), which again was self taught.

After successfully completing this,  she continued working with her teachers in London and formed her own Quartet . She also performed as a solo pianist in top London hotels on Park Lane and the Saville Club in Mayfair and at many private functions, and at renowned restaurants and cocktail bars throughout the UK. She has played with many bands throughout the UK and is currently perfoming as a solo artist and a band leader; she can provide up to a Quintet.

Rachael is also a private teacher and has assisted in workshops which were organised by the London College Of Music in which she was involved in helping qualified teachers who were struggling with the college's Jazz syllabus and how to teach the syllabus to their own students.

Rachael is a passionate musician who has already acomplished great sucess in her career, she looks forward to furthering her career even more in the Jazz world and having the chance to play with some of the finest musicians in Jazz. In 2017, Rachael played at North Sea Jazz festival and copenhagen winter jazz festival.

Rachael released her newest album 'Purple and Green' in september 2017, this is available to listen on Spotify and to buy via this link:
